Teeth and organs are closely connected! That is why we refer to the tooth meridian chart with our patients. It never ceases to amaze us with the correlations we discover!
A patient comes to mind, a 40-year-old male who came to us with a severely decayed front tooth (#9) After we reviewed his health history and discussed his current physical state, we learned that at his last doctor’s appointment, he was told his kidneys were functioning at a very low level. Not enough for the doctors to put him on medications, but they told him things could get worse without intervention. When we reviewed the tooth meridian chart, we explained that tooth #9 was on the kidney meridian chart. Along with other meridian relationships making specific correlations to this patient’s health, he was stunned! We removed the decay from the tooth that day.
Every single one of your teeth is connected to specific organs and systems.
The body is quite amazing when we are listening to its messages.
As we develop in utero, when a certain organ is forming, an associated tooth is also forming. How cool is that? Thus, the tooth organ meridian chart was created. Long before modern science confirmed this, ancient Chinese medicine has been treating meridian blockages for over four thousand years through acupuncture and other modalities.
A vital relationship exists between your teeth, organs, joints, spinal segments, vertebrae, and endocrine glands.
Think of a piano where each tooth is a key, the key is pressed and causes a hammer to strike a note, which creates a vibration and a sound. Each key produces a different sound. Your teeth are connected by nerves to your brain. These nerves send nerve impulses or messages to certain parts of the body.
The energy flow to the tooth is blocked when there is an issue; whether it’s a cavity, a silver mercury filling, a metal crown or implant, an infection, a root canal, or even a missing tooth! This can affect the health of all the other organs on that same meridian.
It can be hard to know if the chicken or the egg was first. Meaning did the disease start in the organ or the tooth originally? This has yet to be determined. No matter, they are all connected.
These energy imbalances can be seen in young children and their developing dentition. Teeth that are not growing straight or growing in with decay and decalcification- are a sign of poor Qi (chi), or energy, according to Chinese medicine.
From neurons firing in the brain to electric pulses of our heart to the subtle meridian energy that encompasses the entire body- we are ELECTRIC.
These little “energy highways” can have big effects. Energy meridians are the highways that bring vitality and balance, remove energy blockages, stagnations, and imbalances, adjust metabolism, and determine the speed and form of cellular change.
Associated organ systems affect not just the mouth but ALL major systems including the immune, brain, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, skeletal, muscular, and lymphatic systems.
This connection can often indicate your overall health and wellness just by reviewing your dental condition.
Dr. Thomas Rau, a Swiss doctor, also revealed that of the last 150 breast cancer patients treated in his clinic, “147 (98%) had one or more root canal teeth on the same meridian as the original breast cancer tumor.” He now goes so far as to recommend any cancer patient he treats to first see a biological dentist to examine their teeth and even remove all root canal teeth.
What is probably the most disturbing fact about the connection between cancer and root canals is that this deadly association was first reported in 1925, when Dr. Weston Price and 60 other prominent researchers revealed 1,174 pages of research to the American Dental Association (ADA) clearly stating that essentially, there is no safe way to complete a root canal filling as every case ended in similar results—infection and disease elsewhere in the body.
Dr. Hal Huggins, a dentist, and dental toxin specialist says “Dr. Weston Price and Mayo Clinic’s [studies from] 1910 to 1920 described finding bacterial growth in root canals that could be transferred into animals and create the same diseases the donor human had in from 80 to 100% of the animals. Heart disease, in particular, could be transferred 100% of the time. His research has since been suppressed by the various Dental Associations in the United States.
Here is a great interactive chart:
Health professionals have often been skeptical when they first presented this information. However, after years of observations by holistic health practitioners, clinical experience, and patient testimonials, it’s quite apparent that our teeth are connected to these energetic pathways called meridians and the relationship to other body parts is quite real.
Biological dentistry teaches us how to address these dental problems by eliminating the imbalances and restoring the oral cavity back to its balanced energetic condition. Changes in systemic conditions, i.e. digestive problems, joint pains, fatigue, headaches, sinus infections, and even heart palpitations, can correct themselves after correcting the dental concerns.
Researchers have even documented a relationship between bacteria in the dental pulp and the formation of breast cancer. Similarly, chronic dental infections contribute to cardiovascular disease, stroke, and erectile dysfunction.
