Our holistic hygiene appointments are unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, and we promise that you will never want to go back to the old-school way of cleaning teeth that can be painful and harmful to your enamel! Holistic hygienists, listen up because this will benefit you as well!
Airflow GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy)
The archaic way of cleaning teeth can actually cause some damage to your enamel. Not to mention, damage to your hygienist’s hands. Most hygienists have short careers due to arthritis of the hands. Scaling hard deposits off of teeth is hard work! Instead of hand power, the airflow machine uses a mixture of air pressure, water pressure, and a fine white powder derived from corn husks. The spray is gentle and comfortable. Gentle yet effective due to its sandblast effect.
Coffee, tea, or wine stains? The airflow effectively removes stains for a brightening effect, naturally!
Even the best hygienist could not mimic this new and updated dental technology. The water spray has the ability to get 4mm below the gums to irrigate bacteria and build up. Resulting in overall healthier gums.
In addition to this new-age technology, patient education plays an important role. The holistic hygienist will evaluate in a hand mirror with the patient to review techniques and go over any needed instructions.
We incorporate Chinese tongue mapping, saliva pH testing, and a microscopic oral bacterial review. Giving our patients this information truly sets the tone of empowerment for them to go home and implement it in order to maintain a healthy oral microbiome and in turn this will result in whole-body health. The foods that we eat and the products that we use make all the difference. Focusing on holistic practices of keeping your natural tooth structure for as long as possible and as healthy as possible is our mission.
Regularly scheduled dental hygiene appointments can save your life.
Your mouth wholly reflects the state of the rest of your body. It is the gateway to your gut, where all disease starts. If you have bleeding gums you naturally will have an unhealthy gut lining, called “leaky gut.” A major sign of inflammation. Chronic inflammation is the precursor to any disease. It is all interconnected, and we find the missing links between oral and whole-body health.
To your health,
